About the maker

A workshop run by one person

I select the wood myself, dry it and make things from it. Between the wood and you there is only the workshop and my hands.

The workshop began under the name IRON WOOD and later became MASSIV MASTER. Over the years cubic meters of chestnut, Osage orange, mulberry, ash, oak, magnolia and plane have passed through my hands — and dozens of burls, each of which I remember.

Most of all I work with chestnut. I am drawn to wood with character — burl, cracks, root-flare “daisies”, forks: everything that is no good for an ordinary board but gives a piece a figure that will never repeat.

I take orders for one-off pieces as well as small runs of identical items. Since 2025 every piece carries the workshop mark.
