The story
How this piece came to be
In Sochi, magnolias grow in parks and gardens. When an old tree has to be removed, its wood can live a second life in your kitchen.

About the species
Southern magnolia Magnolia grandiflora
Magnolia is one of the symbols of subtropical Sochi. Its wood is even, dense and pale, with olive and greenish streaks. It behaves calmly in the workshop and feels pleasant to the touch — an excellent material for cutting boards.
