The story
The Full Length of the Trunk
The longer the slab, the less likely it is to reach the tabletop stage in one piece: long boards warp and split as they dry. This one held out and became a tabletop without a single glue joint.
Light in the workshop glides across the surface and shows how the pattern changes from the butt to the crown: the tree reads like one long sentence.
